Here is a fabulous multiple plate of fossil insects from the Eocene of Utah. This amazing specimen came from an old collection. This plate has DOZENS and DOZENS of Mosquitoes represented. These extremely detailed Mosquitoes have great natural dark color, which contrasts well with the khaki-colored matrix. The distinct insects are easily seen scattered about the natural slab of shale. This is a very prolific multiple specimen of Eocene Insects from Utah.
