This is a fabulous display fossil. It is a huge plate of Orthoceras sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. This specimen has many, MANY individual specimens highly polished for optimal display. The cephalopods exhibit the individual chambers in beautiful fashion. The white Orthoceras contrast wonderfully with the dark, near-black limestone matrix. This is a huge, top quality multiple Orthoceras specimen that could be used for display in a home or office. (Plate is shown on display in our retail store.)
