Here is a very detailed specimen from the Ordovician of Morocco. This plate contains a beautiful, large unidentified brittlestar. The distinct brittlestar exhibits gorgeous detail. The large central disc is wonderfully displayed, and all five of the extremely long, sinuous arms are intact - it is highly unusual to have all of the arms so nicely preserved. The fossil has excellent, orange coloration that contrasts strikingly with the light brown matrix. The fossil is well showcased on the large, natural plate of sandstone. This is a very nice, very detailed brittlestar fossil from North Africa.
