This is an extremely large cephalopod fossil. It is a very large plate hosting a HUGE single Orthoceras sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. This distinct specimen has been highly polished for optimal display, and the plate around the fossil is also finely detailed. The giant cephalopod exhibits the individual chambers in beautiful fashion. The colorful Orthoceras contrasts beautifully with the dark limestone matrix. This is a cool, gigantic specimen that would be wonderful for display in one's home or office.
