This is a very distinct specimen of a fossil gastropod. This fossil was found in a formation known more for its spiny trilobite deposits. This gastropod showcases its fine detail beautifully. The fossil snail is extremely inflated, quite 3-dimensional, and displays well on the matrix plate. This is a very nice specimen of an unusual fossil snail from "Tornado Alley".
