Here is a very displayable ammonite from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This large ammonite (over four inches across!) has been cut in half, and both halves have been highly polished for optimal display. The coiling pattern of the mollusk is easily seen, and the individual chambers are beautifully showcased. The gorgeous coloration (especially the rare green color!) of the interior of the ammonite makes for an exciting exhibit. This is a large, attractive display fossil from Madagascar.
