This is a fabulous Mississippian trilobite. It is a large Ameropiltonia lauradanae from the Choteau Formation of Missouri. This specimen was acquired from a major trilobite collection. As everyone knows, complete Carboniferous trilobites are quite rare. This bug is very inflated and extremely well preserved. The prone fossil has great color and contrast and is well showcased on the rock that also contains two partial trilobites. This is a Top Quality example of an uncommon Ameropiltonia trilobite.
