Here is a beautiful display specimen of a crinoid from China. This is a natural double Traumatocrinus hsuixi from the Triassic - an unusual period of time for crinoids. There are very few Triassic crinoid localities in the world. This large display plate has two crinoids represented. One crinoid has a very detailed crown and a LONG stem (over 8 inches!). The other crinoid (lower left corner) is also wonderfully defined. Both crinoids are nicely showcased on the semi-squared plate of matrix, which is chock full of crinoid remains. This is a very aesthetic crinoid fossil from the Triassic of China.
