This is an excellent fossil insect from the Eocene of Utah. On the plate is a fabulous fossil Beetle. This Beetle is easily seen with the naked eye. This HUGE Beetle is one of the most detailed insects that we have ever seen from the Green River Formation. The detail of this insect is just wonderful - the head, body, and all six legs are beautifully displayed. The fossil has great color and contrast and are nicely showcased on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a fantastic fossil insect from the Green River Formation.
