This is a beautiful trio of Libellula doris nymphs from the Miocene of Italy. These unusual insect nymphs exhibit wonderful detail - the heads, bodies, and legs are all well defined. The bodies of the insects even display strong segmentation. The brown-black fossils contrast very nicely with the light-colored matrix. The insects are well presented, in a row, on the natural plate of shale. This is an excellent insect nymph triple from the Mediterranean.
