This is a great example of a rare Permian plant fossil. It is a fabulous Walchia branch from Germany. Walchia is a fossil conifer, cypress-like plant found in Europe and North America. This specimen was found in the classic Branchiosaurus beds of Germany. This very large specimen is unusually well articulated and has great detail preserved. The distinct branch is well showcased on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a very collectible example of a classic Walchia conifer branch.
