Here is a wonderful specimen of Lycoptera davidi from the Jurassic of China. This large specimen exhibits superb detail - the entire bone structure is extremely well defined, and the fins are nicely displayed. The natural color of the fish is quite striking and contrasts beautifully with the tan matrix plate. The fossil fish is well showcased on the large, repaired plate of shale. This is a very fine example of this Jurassic fish from China.
