This is a very distinct fossil leaf. It is a wonderful Zizyphoides flabellum (Katsura Tree) leaf from the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has great natural shape - the venation and serrated edges are also clearly seen. The fabulous color makes for a striking display. The beautiful leaf is well showcased on the semi-squared block of shale. This is a very unusual fossil leaf from a new location in Montana.
