This is a special offering. It is a large, unprepared Mioplosus labracoides fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This fossil has been taken directly from the quarry and offered here in its unprepared state - fully natural and unaltered. Some collectors would like an unprepared fish either to keep as-is, or to prepare themselves. If you look at the plate, you can easily see the long, thick backbone and dark stain where the flesh and scales were. Yep, this is what they look like when you find 'em! This is a unique chance to acquire a fossil fish still encased in its rock grave.
