Due to their delicate nature, flowers are very rare in the fossil record. This is a very distinct specimen of a fossil flower from the Eocene of Utah. This flower is extremely well preserved - the four petals of the flower are easily seen. The flower has excellent color and contrast and is well showcased on the plate of shale. This is a fine example of this unusual four-petaled flower from the Green River Formation.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
