Here is an excellent specimen of a tooth from Triceratops horridus, the classic ceratopsian, or ''horned dinosaur''. The 3-dimensional tooth is free of matrix and has nice, whitish coloration. A substantial portion of the root is still intact. The pointed top of the tooth is beautifully displayed, and the enamel is well preserved. This is a very fine and displayable Triceratops tooth from the famous Hell Creek Formation.
