This is a large Eucalyptocrinus crassus from the Silurian of Indiana. The site where this specimen was found is now closed to collecting. This fully inflated crinoid has very nice detail - the plate structure of the cup is just exquisite, and many of the arm supports are beautifully displayed. The crinoid is well displayed on the natural plate of matrix. This is a good example of this classic Waldron crinoid.
