Here is a very complete crinoid. This is a beautiful Scyphocrinites sp. from the Silurian of Morocco. This classic camerate crinoid is extremely inflated and has a huge cup composed of many, many stellate plates. The extremely long, multi-branching, uniserial arms are beautifully displayed, and much of the long stem is still intact and tightly attached. The dark grey crinoid contrasts wonderfully with the reddish-pink matrix and is well showcased on the plate of limestone. The plate also contains many crinoid parts and a 3.8 inch stem section from another crinoid. This is a very complete, very detailed example of Scyphocrinites from Morocco.
