This is a nice specimen of Dizygocrinus biturbinatus from the Mississippian of Illinois. This camerate crinoid has a cup composed of many plates and long, biserial arms. The plate structure is present and the arms are intact and curve inward near the top. A lengthy stem is still tightly attached to the cup of the crinoid. The fossil has nice color and contrast and is well presented on the semi-squared plate of siltstone. This is a hard-to-find crinoid from the Warsaw Formation.
