This is a fabulous specimen of a fruit pod from a Legume. This fossil is from the Eocene of Utah. The fossil looks very much like a ''snap pea''. This specimen even retains the stem, which is quite unusual. The fossil has great color and contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The specimen is almost perfectly centered on the square matrix plate. This is a very fine example of a Legume fruiting body from the Green River Formation.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
