This is a gorgeous display plate with a fossil seed fern from the Pennsylvanian of France. This specimen has been prepared so that the fossil plant is in high relief. This articulated frond exhibits great detail. Even the individual leaflets are quite evident, and the distinct venation can be seen. The plant has excellent color and contrast - the black color is fully natural and not enhanced or added. This is a museum quality specimen of a fossil seed fern that would look great in anyone's collection.
