This is a very unusual crinoid from Crawfordsville, Indiana. This is Histocrinus coreyi, a relatively uncommon species of crinoid from this location. The detail of the fossil is very nice - the long, uniserial arms are well preserved and display the heavy, tooth-like pinnules in wonderful fashion. The plate structure is excellent and very easily seen. This is a very affordable specimen of Histocrinus from this classic Mississippian crinoid locality.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
