This is a very pretty crinoid from the Ordovician. This is Cupulocrinus jewetti from Ontario, Canada. This crinoid exhibits excellent plate structure. The multi-branching, uniserial, arms are splayed out, making for an interesting display. The cream-colored fossil contrasts nicely with the grey matrix. The crinoid is almost perfectly centered on the large plate of limestone. This is a very attractive crinoid from the Ordovician.
