Here is an excellent Spider (Araneae) trapped in Baltic Amber from the Eocene of Lithuania. This nugget of fossilized tree resin has been highly polished on all sides for optimal display. The distinct spider is wonderfully preserved and exhibits amazing detail - the head, body, and LONG legs of the spider are clearly defined. This is a very fine example of a large spider entombed in fossilized tree resin.
