This is a strange fossil fish. It is a very fine Encrinesomus dixonifrom the Early Triassic of Madagascar. This specimen is complete and well displayed. The fossil has incredible detail preserved - note the distinct scale pattern. This fish was preserved in a large concretion, displaying both sides of the fish beautifully. This is wonderful example of a fossil fish whose genus became extinct during the late Triassic.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
