This is a very nice arachnid in amber. It is a Spider (Araneae) from the Oligocene deposits of the Dominican Republic. This specimen exhibits wonderful detail. The legs of the spider are quite distinct. The spider is well showcased in the piece of amber, along with a nice Worker Ant. This is a cool Spider entombed in "fossil ooze" (small close-up photo is included for free).
