This is a rare fossil plant. It is a Liverwort Bryophyte preserved in Baltic Amber. It is very uncommon to find plants and flowers in amber, especially Baltic Amber. This specimen has great detail and is quite substantial. The bryophyte is easily seen in the large amber piece (but hard to see in smaller photo). This is a real treat - a must-have for the true fossil plant or amber collector.
