This is an extremely impressive amber fossil. It is a HUGE MASS of Oligocene amber from the Dominican Republic. This monster piece was found YEARS AGO and was recently acquired in a very old collection. The amber piece has great, deep, natural color and beautiful form. One large face was polished to expose the high quality and sharp clarity of the amber inside. And this amber piece weighs OVER TWO POUNDS - THIS IS ONE OF THE LARGEST MASSES OF DOMINICAN AMBER OF THIS QUALITY EVER FOUND! This is a textbook example of a gigantic amber mass of fossilized tree resin from the Dominican Republic.
