This is a rare inclusion in Baltic Amber. It is a fossilized spider web, an unusual occurrence in the fossil record. The structure of the web is quite intricate and easily seen. This is a very substantial section of web to be trapped in amber. There is also a True Midge and a tiny larva entombed in the piece. This is a very collectible and highly unusual inclusion in amber.
