This is a wonderful display fossil. It is a beautiful Stingray specimen from Lincoln County, Wyoming. This is a female Heliobatis radians, one of the most sought-after fossils found in the Green River Formation. The Ray has great color, and it contrasts beautifully with the buff-colored matrix. The Stingray has excellent detail - the barbs along the tail and the long ''stingers'' are even intact and well preserved! The large Ray (17 inches long!) is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular matrix plate that also contains FIVE fish! This is a striking example of a rare stingray fossil that can not only be be part of your fossil collection, but also proudly displayed in your home or office!
