This is a very important plant fossil in amber. It is a large Fern in Dominican Amber. This is important the fossil record because plant fossils from the Oligocene are not as well preserved in shale. This frond has nice, long leaflets. The plant is very detailed, and has a very nice brown color preserved. The Fern is EASILY seen in the large amber nugget. This is a unique amber fossil showcasing a Top Quality specimen from the ancient Plant Kingdom.
