This is a very unusual insect in amber. It is a beautiful Adult Leafhopper (Order Homoptera, Super Family Fulgoroidea) from the Dominican Republic. This specimen is preserved with the gossamer wings intact, making for a very nice display. The wing detail is amazing - the original color pattern is even preserved! And look at the detail of the rest of the bug! And there is also a Bark Beetle, a Wasp, and a Gnat trapped in the huge amber piece - WOW! This is a fabulous fossil insect with colorful wings showcased in all their glory.
