Here is a very interesting plate of crinoids from the Mississippian of Indiana. There are five crinoids on this slab. All of the crinoids are natural to the piece - none have been added. It is very unusual to find this many crinoids in such close proximity to each other. At the bottom center of the plate is a fine specimen of Macrocrinus mundulus. This camerate crinoid has ''feathery'' arms and a long stem still attached to the crinoid. There are also three fine Cyathocrinites and an Unidentified Crinoid on the plate. Four of the crinoids still have a portion of the stem tightly attached, which is quite unusual. The fossils have very good color and contrast and are well showcased on the rectangular plate of siltstone. This is a fine multiple crinoid plate from Crawfordsville, Indiana.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
