This is a very nice crinoid plate from the Warsaw Formation of Illinois with two different crinoids. This wonderful fossils was recently acquired from the famous DeRosear Collection. The specimen on the right is Hylodecrinus briareus. The crinoid is very dark colored and shows very good structure. The fossil has a very long stem attached. The crinoid on the left is an uncommon Taxocrinus sp. The sea lily is light colored and shows very nice detail. This fossil also has a long stem attached - the stem actually goes underneath the stem from the Hylodecrinus! The crinoids are nicely centered on a 4.8" X 4.8" squared slab of matrix. This is a very nice multiple plate of crinoids from the Warsaw Formation in Illinois.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
