This is a very unusual dinosaur trace fossil. It is a pair of Grallator tenuis tracks from the Jurassic of Massachusetts. These tracks, or impressions, wonderfully exhibit the three-toed nature of the dinosaur's foot. The track has been slightly darkened for contrast and is extremely well centered on the natural plate of matrix. This is a great example of a pair of dinosaur tracks where one track actually stepped on the other!
