Here is a very unusual fossil fish from the famous Solnhofen Layers of Germany. This slab contains an extremely detailed Unidentified Fish. This rare fish exhibits very fine detail - the bone structure is wonderfully defined, and the backbone and tail are perfectly presrved. The fossil has great color and is well presented on the semi-rectangular plate of lithographic limestone. And, best of all, the fish is over EIGHT and a half inches long! This is an fabulous example of this elongate fossil fish from the Jurassic Sea.
