Here is an excellent plate with two very displayable crinoids. This specimen is from the famous Mississippian beds near Crawfordsville, Indiana. Both crinoids are preserved in a 3-dimensional fashion and exhibit superb detail. At the top of the slab is a very nice example of Agaricocrinus americanus. This camerate crinoid shows the cup and very stout biserial arms. The fine pinnulation of the arms is beautifully displayed. Below this crinoid is a beautiful specimen of Cyathocrinites iowensis. This inadunate crinoid has a cone-shaped cup with nodose plates. The extremely long uniserial arms branch many, many times and are unusually complete to the tiny tips. A section of the stem is still attached to this crinoid. This is a very aesthetic pair of crinoids from this classic crinoid locality.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
