This is a rare insect in amber. It is a fine Leafhopper Nymph (Auchenorrhyncha) from the Dominican Republic. This type of insect is a very uncommon find in Dominican Amber. This specimen is complete and has great detail. The legs, eyes, and segmented body are very easily seen. The large Leafhopper Nymph can be seen with the naked eye trapped in the amber piece. This is an unusual fossil insect from the Oligocene Amber Mines of the Dominican (small close-up photo is included for free).
