This is an unusual insect nymph in Oligocene amber. It is a very fine Beetle Larva (Coleoptera) from the Dominican Republic. This larva looks like an inchworm or millipede, but it is not. The larva has wonderful detail and is beautifully centered in the cognac-colored amber piece. This is a fantastic example of an uncommon insect in Dominican Amber (small close-up photo is included for free).
