This is a very aesthetic crinoid. It is a Macrocrinus mundulus from the famous Mississippian layers near Crawfordsville, Indiana. This type of Camerate crinoid has a large cup composed of many plates and biserial arms that contain many pinnules. This specimen is well inflated and exhibits fine detail. The plate structure of the cup is quite evident, and the arms are almost totally intact. A long, articulated stem is still tightly attached to the cup of the crinoid, and the long anal tube can be seen extending above the tips of the arms. The ''sea lily'' has very good color and contrast and is beautifully centered on the squared plate of siltstone. This is a very nice example of a crinoid crown with stem from a classic crinoid site.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
