This is a very nice fern fossil. It is a large fern frond from the Coal Age of France. It is incredibly difficult to obtain fossil fern fronds of this large size. Also, the frondlets are aesthetically articulated and attached to a large branch. The ferns have excellent detail and beautiful natural color and contrast. This is a wonderful display specimen of seed fern fronds from the Pennsylvanian forest floor of Europe.
