Here is a unique piece of amber from the Oligocene amber mines of the Dominican Republic. This nugget of fossilized tree resin contains a very nice Bark Louse (pictured), an unusual Diapriid Wasp, and two Thrips. The piece of amber has been highly polished on all sides to reveal the fine detail of the insect inclusions. The insects are easily seen in the honey-colored piece of fossil ''ooze''. This is a nice chunk of amber with multiple insects (small close-up photo included for free).
