This is an unusual flying insect. It is a Bark Louse (Psocoptera) trapped in Dominican Amber. This insect is complete and has great detail. The wings still retain the "stained glass" venation pattern. The louse is EASILY seen in the honey-colored amber nugget. This is a very fine Bark Louse in Dominican Amber (close-up photo is included for free).
