This is a very unusual insect in amber. It is an excellent Cricket trapped in Dominican Amber. This specimen is extremely detailed - the LONG, segmented antennae are beautifully showcased. The legs are intact, and even the spikes on the tail have the bristles preserved! The cricket is easily seen in the cognac-colored piece of amber. This is a wonderfully preserved example of a fossilized cricket from the Dominican Republic (small close-up photo is included for free).
