This is an excellent specimen of a large Mioplosus labracoides from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This unusual "perch-like" fish exhibits exquisite detail. The bone structure of the fish is clearly defined, and the fins are beautifully displayed. Even the scale pattern of the fish is quite evident. The orangish-brown coloration of the fish is totally natural and very striking. The fish is well centered on the plate of shale. This is simply a wonderful display specimen of a large Green River fish.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
