Here is a fine Chinese crinoid. This is Traumatocrinus hsuixi from the Triassic. There are very few localities in the world where Triassic crinoids are found. This crinoid has very fine detail. The arms are complete and nicely splayed to exhibit the extraordinary pinnulation. The long, round stem is still tightly attached. The off-white color of the fossil contrasts wonderfully with the dark matrix. The crinoid is beautifully positioned on the large, somewhat rectangular plate. This is a very displayable crinoid from an unusual moment in time.
