This is a very unique ammonite. It is an Arnioceras sp. from the Jurassic of Chile. This well-preserved ammonite is quite ''clean'' and exhibits fine detail. The coarse ribs are easily seen, and the tiny inner whorls are clearly defined all the way to the very center. The ammonite is beautifully centered on the natural plate of matrix that also contains a fossil bivalve and another partial ammonite. This is an attractive specimen of Arnioceras from an exotic location.
