EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - HUGE Deltablastus
Stock Number  XIBL707
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Deltablastus permicus (?)
Age:  Permian
Formation:  Maubisse Formation
Location:  Basleo, Timor, Indonesia
Size:  Blastoid is 1.3" long, 1.4" across!

Here is a HUGE Deltoblastus permicus (?) blastoid from the remote island of Timor. Blastoids first appeared in the fossil record during the Ordovician and became extinct at the end of the Permian. This is one of the last types in the long line of blastoid evolution. Permian blastoids are only found in a few places in the world and are highly collectible. This gigantic, loose blastoid is very robust and exhibits decent detail. The wide ambulacra are nicely displayed, and the five-point symmetry is easily seen. This is a very collectible Permian blastoid from an exotic location.
