Here is an excellent echinoderm specimen from the Ordovician of Morocco. This plate contains two beautiful, large, Petraster starfish fossils. The distinct starfish exhibit gorgeous detail - the plate structures are wonderfully displayed, and all five of the long arms are intact on each star - it is highly unusual to have all of the arms so nicely preserved. The fossils have excellent, orange coloration that contrasts strikingly with the tan matrix. The starfish are well showcased on the large, natural block of sandstone. This is a displayable and collectible multiple starfish fossil from North Africa.
