This is a very attractive ammonite. It is a yellow Cleoniceras cleon from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This displayable ammonite has been cut in half and both halves have been highly polished. The coiling pattern of the mollusk is easily seen, and the individual chambers are wonderfully defined. The unique structure is nearly perfectly preserved. This is a very beautiful specimen of Cleoniceras from Madagascar.
